These nostalgic designs are based on actual ornaments from the personal collections of the S4H Design Team. Each year, we lovingly unwrap our favorite glass ornaments, each one seemingly more fragile than the next, and we breathe a little sigh of relief that they’ve made it through another year stored in tissue.
As the ornaments come out and are hung on the tree, it’s a wonderful way to re-live memories of holidays gone by. Bring the same warm feeling to your machine embroidery projects with this gorgeous design set. Our Vintage Christmas Ornaments embroidery designs are available exclusively in the S4H Etsy Shop,
We elected to feature each ornament on an elegant dinner napkin, adding a “hanger” to each embroidery design, using a triple straight stitch. As a special bonus, a step-by-step tutorial is included free with the Designs so you can make this same set of napkins for your holiday gathering – or as a lovely gift idea!
The beautifully dense embroidery features unique fills, flourishes, French knots, and more. There are FIVE different ornaments plus the optional BOW design that can be added to top off any of the ornaments.
Finishing from approximately 2½” to 3½” in height, they are perfect, as shown here, for table linens. They would also be gorgeous on Christmas stockings for the whole family or as accents on garments, pillows or bags.
The design set is offered in the S4H Etsy Shop for all our machine embroidery fans. All elements are provided in EIGHT file formats: ART, EXP, JEF, JEF+, JPX, PES, VIP, and VP3.
We have continued to keep the cost of our Etsy Shop items very affordable, while maintaining the professional, thorough instructions and the gorgeous sample photography S4H is known for throughout the sewing and craft industry. This full 6-piece design set, including the Bonus Napkin Project Tutorial, is just $6.95.

Hello Emily – Embroidered napkins can certainly be used. As with any embroidery project, choose high quality thread as it is manufactured to be colorfast. Use a quality embroidery machine to ensure your stitching is precise, and prewash and press your napkin fabric prior to embroidering. We often use two layers for our napkin projects as it makes them more substantial and absorbent. We also always add edgestitching around the napkins perimeter through both layers (you can see the edgestitching in the photos above if you zoom in), which helps keeps the two layers from shifting. Again – as always… Read more »
